Pricey but interesting......

Recently, Le Métier de Beauté’s new Peau de Vierge Anti-Aging Collection caught Beauty Wonkette's eye. The line includes a concealer and foundation-like treatment fluid, makes getting your dose of clock-stopping retinol even easier. Clinicals found that the line’s vitamin E-encapsulated retinol reduced wrinkles and discoloration in just a week.

Now, Beauty Wonkette may have born at night, but she wasn't worn LAST NIGHT...lol. A week is a very short period of time for any product to work. Nevertheless, the stuff looks interesting. On a recent trip to Neiman Marcus, BW had the opportunity to try out the Treatment Fluid. No doubt about it, the stuff is really LOVELY. We didn't purchase it, but we now are using and generous sample. Read more about it below.

Peau de Vierge Anti-Aging Complex Tinted Treatment Fluid
As seen in InStyle magazine (November 2009 issue, p174) and Harper's Bazaar magazine (November 2009 issue, p182).

A luxurious tinted treatment fluid that stimulates collagen production, increases blood flow, lessens dark circles, smoothes fine lines, blurs blemishes and tightens pores within a week of once-daily use.

Offering sheer, lightweight coverage, Peau de Vierge Anti-Aging Complexe provides a sheer wash of flawless, luminous finish. The formula feels like second skin with a gossamer-like texture. Light-diffusing pigments help fade away lines and instantly impart a renewed radiance and healthy appearance to skin. With SPF 20, Peau de Vierge helps guard against the damaging effects of the sun.

• Contains anti-aging powerhouse Retinol, known for its ability to smooth and plump wrinkles from deep below the skin's surface, stimulating collagen cell rejuvenation and bringing elasticity back to skin.
• Retinol is delivered through a unique deliver technology called TPM—Tocopheryl Phosphate Mechanism—which encapsulates the Retinol and allows it to safely and effectively penetrate the skin.
• Traditional over-the-counter products have very poor penetration—less than 2% of active ingredients are actually absorbed. In comparison, with TPM, 20 times more Retinoic Acid is absorbed into the deeper skin layers, making it the most effective cosmetic Retinoid treatment on the market.
• Paraben, Talc, Fragrance and Dye-Free.

TPM's unique advantage over other delivery systems is that it is a form Vitamin E that has been combined with phosphates. Phosphates are a naturally occurring property in the body, making this form of Vitamin E, TPM, highly compatible with the skin and easy to metabolize. TPM delivers actives so efficiently because it completely encapsulates the active ingredient, such as Retinol, so the active never comes in contact with the stratum corneum. This allows the TPM to penetrate deepest layer of the skin where the all the action is and deliver Retinol where it is most effective.

Key ingredients: Retinol, which smoothes and plumps wrinkles and restores elasticity to the skin. TPM, exclusive to Le Metier de Beaute, which maximizes the effectiveness of the Retinol and delivers it safely to the dermal layer of the skin, eliminating the negative effects seen in the use of topical Retinol treatments (inflammation, skin thinning, redness and sensitivity to the sun).

How to use: Apply once daily to face, neck and decolletage areas and see results within seven days..

NB: THE PHOTO IS NOT THE TREATMENT FLUID, IT IS THE CONCEALER :)

  2. Hi Janelle

Welllllll..... I used up my sample, which was about 3 weeks worth. I gotta say that it is, without question, a really NICE product. Have I purchased it? Ummmmm no, but only because I'm so thoroughly hooked on MLab for day and Retin A at night. Gotta say my skin has never so looked so good. With all that said, though, I have nothing but good stuff to say about this stuff (if you need an excuse to run out and buy it ;-) )
